5/24/2023 EnchantaVaughn Approved 1.Behavior: Upon arrival, Berando appeared to be in a relaxed mood evident by paying the video game with the volume down. Berando was receptive to the session evident by participating in the activities and following instructions. Berando was not redirected during this session. 2.Behavior: During the second portion of the session, Berando appeared to be day dreaming when QMHP-C was discussing with him ways to manage his anger. 3. Behavior: During the third portion of the session, Bernado was talking over QMHP-C and his mother when discussing ways to implement positive coping skills. 1.Intervention: QMHP-C was engaged into a discussion by Berando’s grandmother. QMHP-C actively listened as she informed him about Berando’s dishonest behaviors and interactions since the last session. QMHP-C confronted Berando about his dishonest behaviors and responses, processing with him how he could have impacted his relationships. QMHP-C asked probing questions to help Berando share what honesty is to him. QMHP-C explained the importance of being truthful. QMHP-C provided some scenarios of how honesty can help create positive relationships. 2. Intervention: QMHP-C showed Berando the mood cards, encouraging him to choose the cards that best represented his current mood. QMHP-C challenged Berando to express what took place throughout his day to influence his mood. QMHP-C inquired about any anger episodes that took place since the last session. 3.Intervention: QMHP-C encouraged Berando to continue the good job with managing his anger. QMHP-C introduced Berando to different types of anger, explained what each type of anger is and what it may look like, requiring him to share some of his triggers that would influence the types of anger talked about. 1.Response: Berando recalled that he was in a happy mood. Berando expressed that he was a little upset that he couldn’t go to his friends house but was not going to let it bother him “that much”. Berando explained that he was in a happy mood because he did not go to school today because he wasn’t feeling good but reported that he was feeling better. Berando denied experiencing any anger since the last session. Berando’s aunt also reported to have not observed any aggressive behaviors from Berando. He was on task as QMHP-C introduced him to the different types of anger and explained what they are. 2.Response: Berando’s grandmother shared that he was directed to go in his room and told he could not go outside or to his friends house today. She was attentive as QMHP-C explained the importance of holding Berando responsible for his actions. The grandmother was open to the feedback provided by QMHP-C evident by agreeing with him and stating, “I will try that”. 3: Response: Berando was receptive to the conversation evident by paying attention and staying in task. Berando denied his defiant behaviors. He eventually was able to admit his defiant ways. He stated, “I just don’t like some of the rules”. Berando was not on task as QMHP-C explained the purpose of rules and how he could benefit complying with them.
